Arrival Viking Museum. Viking Museum at Borg.
The chieftain himself welcomes us and leads us into his enormous residence. You will now be transported back in time to the Viking Age. Light flickers from the fireplaces and shimmers from the lamps on the ceiling, the smell of tar fills your nostrils and you sense a bewitching atmosphere as the chieftain begins to speak. We are taken on a guided tour before the banquet, after which we don our Viking capes and continue to the banqueting hall that has been specially adorned for the occasion. Our waiters and waitresses are dressed in Viking Age attire.

Banquet - we sit down at the enormous tables and enjoy a proper Viking meal, an exciting and tasty repast with starters, main course and desert.

Fishing trip with Lofot ferga. (The old Lofot ferry)
We sail to the magnificent Trollfjord, a very narrow fjord surronded by the realm of mighty mountains. It is a wonderful experience. There will be served beverages on board while sailing. Entertainment in the saloon or at the deck. It is really popular.
Lunch is served on board.

Rafting

We get good clothes on and first we raft to the little island Skrova for drinks and after we are rafting in high tempo to Henningsvær.
Henningsvær is without doubt one of the most idyllic fishing villages in the world. Built up entirely without the help of developers or architects, it is consequently one of Norway’s most distinctive fishing villages.

Lunch will be held at the pleasant and intimate  Restaurant Fiskekroken

After lunch we take a walk to the gallery, popularly referred to as the ”Treasure Chest” (Lofoten House), which houses paintings by, amongst others, famous painters as Karl Erik Harr, Otto Sinding, Gunnar Berg, Even Ulving, Einar Berger, Ole Juul and Thorolf Holmboe. We watch Frank A Jenssen’s magnificent slide show about the magical island realm that we have now had the pleasure of visiting, and afterwards, we pay a
visit to the ceramics workshop where the glassblowers will also be present, conjuring up their objects of wonderment

We are going back to Svolvær.

Bus transfer til Svinøya (5-10 min.)
We met ”Krambua” for an aperitif together with Lofoten’s "confectionery”, stockfish. The general manager will wish you welcome.

19:00 Uhr

Dinner at Børsen Restaurant, which is one of Lofoten’s best restaurants.

After dinner we are take the bus to Magic Ice Bar (5 min)
Magic Ice, in Svolvær –is the only ice gallery in Norway, offers a variety of refreshments. Sculptures and installations made of ice, dramatically lit and presented together with sound, music and images; tell the story of nature, traditions and the life of the fisherman in this abundant island realm. Magic Ice has an atmosphere that has to be experienced from the inside! The drink is served in glass made of ice.
